Tears streaming down her face; the man she loves is gone. How could the fates bring us together to just rip us apart?
I'm floating in space; dazed and confused. I know I'm strong enough to move, but I have no will to do so.
Arms splayed out, head back, hanging there as if a single string was around my waist. They told me I would forget in time. It would be a blessing to forget the pain. The pain of being destroyed and watching as he was exiled from our planet, causing me so much anger and grief, because I knew I wouldn’t see him again. From my grief I attacked the elders with no powers of my own, they won. Flicking me away like a crumb. They exiled me off the planet in the other direction. But telling me they will allow me to forget everything as a gift. I thought at first it would be a curse, but now I see it is a gift.
My planet travels in an unusual pattern. Drifting as if driven by someone with an errand, it can travel fast, light speed or slow as if a crawling dying man. My planet was near the smallest planet when my love was exiled. Pluto, I believe. They wanted away from him so fast they traveled at light speed to get away from him. By the time I was exiled only minutes later we were about to pass super nova. I think they were aiming for super nova anyway, but under shot and I'm heading for Mars.
There is history books on my planet about mars, says it once had life on it and water. But seeing as it is so close to super nova life can't with stand the heat. In orbit mars moves closer to super nova every so often. The life is now the dead. I suppose it must have taken thousands of years for it to get this bad; no life and no water.
Once I finally touched the soiled ground of mars, one last image of Darien flashed in my eyes and heart before I forgot all together. Forgetting him and even who I was. To wander alone on a dead planet for the rest of my days.
